A Vegetarian Tasting Menu that is Exciting Enough to Please Non-Vegetarians

Dirt Candy Restaurant Broccoli Hotdogs Carrot Sliders

About Dirt Candy

& why it made the Carpe City list

  • A very unique vegetarian tasting menu that even non-vegetarians can love. If you are trying to incorporate more plant-based foods into your diet, this is definitely the place to make it happen.
  • Award-winning Iron Chef Amanda Cohen was a pioneer in the vegetable-forward movement.  Her graphic novel style cookbook is in its seventh printing.
  • They offer two tasting menus for dinner. One is a 5 course and the other is a 9 course.
  • Brunch service offers a la carte choices.
  • Like most tasting menus, your entire table has to participate in one or the other.
  • They can make it vegan if you request as well.
  • If you want to dine solo or if there are only two of you, try to get a seat at the chef’s counter so you can watch the artful action.
  • It’s a hot spot. Definitely book a reservation.
  • Get: Well, we can’t recommend what to order since it is a tasting menu, but some of our favorites during our last visit were the brussels sprout tacos, the Korean broccoli, carrot sliders, portobello mousse and the popcorn beets.
  • Service is included
  • They offer thoughtful wine pairings with a focus on natural wine by female winemakers.
  • Casual, upbeat atmosphere with an open kitchen.
